"... It was the first time since I had come home from the war that I felt like me, like I had gotten my old self back."

Exciting news to share ...

We are pleased to share that on Sept. 21 TEC was the recipient of the first grant award from the Stephen E. Upton Love Your Community Endowment.  TEC will use the $50,000 grant to launch and grow our newly developed program - TEC WITH VETS.  Check out the two articles that ran in The Herald Palladium.

Sept. 22, 2016 - "A Night of Surprises"

Sept. 23, 2016 - "TEC WITH VETS"

TEC WITH VETS is for members of our armed forces dealing with PTS, depression, and physical or emotional challenges.

As a result of protecting their country, military veterans often return home with a variety of physical and emotional scars. They are taught to repress fears, therefore, they learn to trust no one. They lose limbs. They suffer hearing loss and so much more.

TEC will be launching a new program, in the fall of 2016, for men and women who have served in our country’s armed forces. We will open our doors to veterans who are looking for an alternative activity to help them meet the challenges of daily living. Our instructors have designed a program with you in mind, beginning where you are and moving forward as a team.

Check out the video below of one of our veteran volunteers working with a TEC rider during lessons.

Take a look at this news coverage about a similar program that's working miracles for veterans at Spirit Therapies in Las Vegas.

Want to join TEC WITH VETS as a volunteer or participant?  Give TEC Instructor, Autumn Zick, a call at (269) 429-0671 or send her an e-mail at info@tecfarm.org.

Thank You ...
