ABOUT TEC

Since 2006, The Therapeutic Equestrian Center (TEC) has been making “I Did It!” moments such as this happen.

Joann M. brought her 83-year old mother, Alice D., to TEC to strengthen her aging muscles, gain self-confidence, and make social connections.  Joann was amazed at the change in her mom after just a few visits and shared,

“I saw a huge difference in mom.  She went from being apprehensive to being engaged and wanting to learn how to brush, saddle, and ride Garth.”

TEC is a nonprofit 501(c)3 service organization that provides year-round, horse-related activities, and therapeutic riding to people young and old with disabilities, including veterans and active military members.  Our programs are designed to help children to seniors find hope, reach beyond their expectations, and discover unlimited possibilities.  We do this by engaging the power of horses to challenge, inspire, and strengthen their bodies, minds, and spirits.  TEC is open to residents with disabilities in Southwest Michigan and the Michiana Area.

Whether you’re a participant  or volunteer, our programs bridge the gap between, “I can’t” to, “I can!” Experience the TEC difference today!

TEC has been a member of PATH International since 2006. All instructors are certified through PATH.
