Do you know a horse with the right stuff?
The Therapeutic Equestrian Center (TEC) is always on the look out for horses that may work well in our riding program. The right horse needs to be "bomb proof" and in excellent health for use in our therapeutic riding program. Horses must have a good temperament, the ability to work with people of all ages, and who have a variety of riding/physical capabilities.
When a horse is accepted into the TEC program, there is a 30-day trial period before permanent acceptance of the horse. During that time, the horse may be returned to the owner for any reason. At the end of the 30 days, the horse is evaluated by the Horse Coordinator and 2 (two) PATH-certified instructors. Their recommendations are submitted to the Board of Directors and a vote is taken by the Board to accept the horse as a permanent addition to the TEC stable.
Let's meet the TEC horses! Please click on each horse's name to the left for additional information.
To make an inquiry regarding the donation of a horse, contact (269) 429-0671 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org. At this time, capacity is limited by policy to 6 (six) horses. All donations are tax deductible. TEC is a 501(c)3 nonprofit located in Watervliet, Michigan.
