Tuition Assistance Program (TAP)

 

Our goal is to never turn away a participant/rider because of their inability to afford the program.  Through TAP, TEC is able to offer scholarships and tuition assistance to participants based on financial need, need for service/therapy, and staff recommendations.

 

Eligibility for TAP and value of award amount is determined on a case by case basis.  Participants who receive tuition assistance are required to pay a minimum amount each week, regardless if they attend the session or not.  If TEC cancels a class, participants receiving TAP will still have to pay the minimum payment amount due for that week.  This amount can be credited to the next riding session.

 

We encourage recipients of any tuition assistance (or their parent/guardian/family member/caregiver) to participate in at least one volunteer activity at TEC within 6 months of tuition assistance award.  TEC offers an array of volunteer opportunities.  

 

Applicants must complete (in full) the TAP application found in the appropriate rider application packet above and return it to TEC, along with all required documentation.  Your application cannot be considered until all required documentation has been received.
